Crysis 2 Demo Removed from PSN

March 18, 2011

Bossfight Gaming Blog - EA
EA States the following:

“Thank you for your interest in the PlayStation 3 version of the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo. Though many gamers have had a great experience playing the demo, we are aware that others have been experiencing server connection delays. We’ve identified the root cause and have decided to close the PS3 demo in the next 24 hours to ensure all issues are resolved when the game launches next week. Our priority is to ensure that the final product is flawless at launch.”

This might sound upside down but I think this is a perfect example of very good service and i’ll explain why:
What happens when a manufacturer finds out their product is not working properly?
Exactly! They will get back their product, remove it from the stores and fix it!

And that is exactly what happened here. Of course it is bad that it didn’t work right away, but how to handle these kinds of issues is also considered as service.

Dragon Age 2 launch day DLC what to think about it?

March 11, 2011

Bosfight Gaming Blog - Dragon Age 2

First of all I tried the demo at Gamescom last year and downloaded it again yesterday.
Awsome game going to finish Dragon Age Origins and will continue straight away with part 2.

But back to the topic, there are two ways to fly in to this.

1. The DLC is finished same day as the game why the hell isn’t it just in the game??
2. Dragon Age is 50 hour+ game without DLC which is a alot more than your average game

Personally I lean more towards the second one.
Because they could have released Dragon Age 2 without the DLC perfectly. I just see te DLC as an extra service.
It would be another story if Dragon Age was a very short game and the DLC would make it complete. But obviously Dragon Age is not a short game.

Feel free to share your opinion about this
